Bereits seit 2002 findet der Internationale Rotary-Musik Wettbewerb
statt, bei dem Kinder zwischen 8 und 12 Jahren ihr
musikalisches Talent beweisen. In diesem Zeitraum gab es über
600 Teilnehmer aus 34 Ländern. Mehr als 50 Stipendien wurden
vergeben, durch die insbesondere begabten russischen Waisen
und Halbwaisen der Besuch einer Musikschule ermöglicht wird.
Dem Kuratorium des Rotary-Musikwettbewerbs gehören u. a.
an: Außenminister der RF Sergey Lavrov, Nationalkünstler der
UdSSR Vladimir Spivakov und Eduard Grach, Nationalkünstler
Russlands Pavel Kogan, Dmitry Bashkirov und Vladimir Ovchinnikov.
Die Preisträgersind Schüler des Tschaikowsky-Konservatoriums in Moskau und
präsentieren sich nun zum Sächsischen Mozartfest in Chemnitz.
Die jungen Künstler überzeugen durch ein außerordentlich
hohes Maß an Können und Professionalität

Eliso Virsaladze was born in Tbilisi, Georgian SSR. She received her first piano lessons at the age of 8 from her grandmother, Anastasia Virsaladze, a well-known music teacher and pianist in the Georgian SSR. She graduated from the Tbilisi State Conservatory, and continued her education as a postgraduate student at the Moscow Conservatory. She studied with Yakov Zak and Heinrich Neuhaus. She won with 19 years the third prize in the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1962 and the first prize in the Schumann Competition in Zwickau in 1966.
Virsaladze has been teaching at Moscow Conservatory since 1967 (She became a professor in 1994) and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich, Germany, since 1995.
Among her students are many winners of international piano competitions: B. Berezovsky, E. Voskresenskaya, V. Bronevetsky, Y. Katznelson, A. Volodin, D. Kaprin, M. Kolomiytseva, A. Osminin, L. Akopova, M. Nahapetov, T. Chernichko, O. Macheratini, E. Mirkasimova.
Since 1966, Eliso Virsaladze has given recitals and appeared with major international orchestras under Yevgeny Svetlanov, Kyrill Kondrashin, Riccardo Muti, Kurt Sanderling, and Wolfgang Sawallisch.
Virsaladze enjoys playing chamber music, partnering with Natalia Gutman, the Borodin and the Taneyev Quartets. She participates as a jury member in many international piano competitions. She is a renowned interpreter of Schumann, Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin, as well as of modern Soviet and Russian composers. Live Classics has recorded most of her broad repertoire.
She was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1989.
Previous jury charmen of the International Rotary Music Competitions were among others Natalia Gutman, Eduard Grach, Dmitry Bashkirov, Pavel Kogan, Mikhail Khokhlov, Josef Marous, Alexander Yakupov and Vladimir Ovchinnikov.

1. 11-ый Международный Детский Музыкальный Конкурс Ротари будет проводиться в Москве, в России, в марте 2013 года.
2).Возраст участников от 8 до 12 лет. Возрастное ограничение до 12 лет подразумевает, что участникам до 31 марта 2013 года не должно исполниться 13 лет.
3.)Конкурс проводится для следующих инструментов: фортепьяно, скрипка, виолончель, арфа, духовые инструменты.
Существуют следующие ограничения статуса участника:
а) каждый участник должен быть представлен на конкурс одним из действующих Ротари Клубов, предпочтительно из своего города. Только для России: если в городе участника нет Ротари клуба, заявки с исполнениями можно отправлять напрямую в Оргкомитет.
в) Дети, принимавшие участие в предыдущих конкурсах и прошедшие в финал, не могут быть выставлены на конкурс.
с) Дети, принимавшие участие в предыдущих конкурсах, но не прошедшие в финал, могут принять участие в конкурсе.
4. Профессоры музыки и организационный комитет прослушивают полученные DVD – диски и выбирает 15 участников полуфинала которые приглашаются в Москву.
5. Конкурс в Москве проводится в 2 тура: полуфинал и финал.
6. Порядок выступлений участников устанавливается сроком подачи заявок. Первая заявка выступает последним, вторая заявка предпоследним итд. последняя заявка выступает первым.
7.Призы:
1 место – 3.,000 USD или рублевой эквивалент
2 место – 1.500 USD или рублевой эквивалент
3 место – 750 USD или рублевой эквивалент
4 – 6 место –300 USD или рублевой эквивалент
7 – 15 место – 200 USD или рублевой эквивалент

Для российских участников перевод денежных средств осуществляется в рублевом эквиваленте. Иностранные участники получают приз в долларах США. С суммы приза удерживаются 13% подоходного налога.
Участие в конкурсе бесплатное, вступительного взноса нет.
8.Срок отправления заявки от Ротари клуба Вашего города с DVD диском организационному комитету до 10 декабря 2012 года.

9. Музыкальная программа, включенная в заявку, должна быть исполнена в полуфинале и финале конкурса. Нельзя менять программу без предварительного уведомления.

• Произведение для скрипки соло (на Ваш выбор)
• Произведение для скрипки и фортепиано (на Ваш выбор), или скрипка с оркестром (на Ваш выбор)

Время выступления не должно превышать 20 минут

Для флейты:

• Концерт А. Вивальди (на Ваш выбор)
• Композиция для флейты и фортепиано
• Моцарт (на Ваш выбор)
• Ваш выбор

Время выступления не должно превышать 20 минут

Для кларнета:

• Произведение композитора 20 века для кларнета и фортепиано (продолжительность до 8 минут)
• Композиция для кларнета и фортепиано (на Ваш выбор)

Для гобоя:

Финалисты будут исполнять произведения с камерным оркестром.

10. Члены жюри не участвуют в голосовании при оценке участников своей школы или своих учеников.
11. Жюри оставляет за собой право прерывать исполнение участников конкурса, программа которого превышает установленное время или не соответствует другим пунктам конкурса.
12. Результаты объявляются в конце каждого тура. Баллы, набранные участниками конкурса, не оглашаются.
13. Участники финала получают диплом, указывающий занятое место на конкурсе и титул лауреата. Полуфиналисты получают диплом об участии в полуфинале. Другие участники получают дипломы об участии в конкурсе.

14. Решение жюри окончательно и неоспоримо.

ПРОЖИВАНИЕ

На время конкурса - в Москве (в течении 3-х дней) в Марте 2013 года Оргкомитет обеспечивает для участников (кроме участников, проживающих в Москве и Московской области) размещение в гостинице. Все остальные расходы оплачиваются участниками и сопровождающими лицами из своих собственных средств.

1. 11th International Russian Rotary Children’s Music Competition is taking place in Moscow, Russia in March, 2013.
2. Age of the participants is from 8 to 12 years. Limit of 12 years means that the participant is until 31. March 2013 younger than 13 years.
3. Competition is for following musical instruments: violin, violoncello, harp, piano, wind instruments.
4. Following limits apply to all applicants:
a) Each participant must be presented to the organizing committee through any Rotary Club (preferably from his home town).Supporting letter is sufficient. For Russia only: if there is no Rotary Club in the Russian city in which the participant is living, the application with the performance can be sent directly to the organizing committee.
b) Participants of the Finals in previous years are not allowed for participation in the competition. Participants of the Semifinals in previous years can participate again.
c) Children, participating in the competition in previous years but not achieving the finals, are allowed to participate in the competition again.

5. Music professors and organizing committee is reviewing DVD received and recommends the invitation of the 15 best candidates to semifinals and finals in Moscow.
6. Music competition in Moscow is done in two stages: semifinals and finals. To the finals are admitted the best 6 semifinalists.

1st Prize – 3.000 USD
2nd Prize – 1.500 USD
3rd Prize - 750 USD
4th to 6th Prize –300 USD
7th to 15th Prize - 200 USD
Russian Participants will receive Prizes in Rubles, foreign participants in USD. From the prize money will be deducted 13% Russian income tax.
8. Participation in the competition is free of cost.
9. The deadline for sending the DVD to the organizing committee is 10. December 2012. (Date of post stamp)

12. Jury members do not participate in the voting for the candidates from their own schools or own scholars.
13. The Jury has the right to stop the performance of the participant of the competition if the performance exceeds the time limit or does not correspond to other requirements of the competition.
14. The results are announced at the end of each stage. The points received by each candidate are not being made public.
15. The finalists receive diploma showing the place achieved in the finals and the title of Laureate. The semifinalists receive diploma of participant of the semifinals. Other participants receive diploma of the participant of the competition.
16. The decisions of the Jury are definitive and cannot be questioned.
ACCOMMODATION
During the competition in Moscow (3 days) in March 2013 the organizing committee will provide accommodation for each participant not living in Moscow or Moscow Region and one accompanying person. ( One hotel room). All other expenses must be covered by the participants themselves.

The International Russian Rotary Music Competition was chartered in Moscow in 2002 and in March 31 – April 1, 2012, already the 10th competition has taken place. In the 10 years of its existence the Rotary music competition has acquired reputation to be one of the best in the world in the age category 8 to 12 years. More than 600 children from 34 countries and 5 continents has taken part in the competition, from Norway in the north to South Africa in the south, from China, Vietnam and Korea in the east to Cuba, USA and Mexico in the west, playing piano, violin, violoncello, harp and wind instruments.
Members of the Advisory Board are the Foreign Minister of Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, national artists of the USSR Vladimir Spivakov and Eduard Grach, national artists of Russia Dmitry Bashkirov, Amirov Shaukat and Vladimir Ovchinnikov, honored artist of Russia Mikhail Khokhlov, past ambassador of European Union in Russia Ottokar Hahn, Laureate of the Tchaikovsky piano competition of 1958 Daniel Pollack, founder of the competition and chairman of the Advisory Board Josef Marous, chairman of the organizing committee Tiberius Braun and other important musicians and businessmen.
The jury of the Rotary music competition was chaired in different years by such prominent musicians as national artists of the USSR Natalia Gutman and Eduard Grach, national artists of Russia Pavel Kogan, Dmitry Bashkirov and Vladimir Ovchinnikov.
The International Russian Rotary Music Competition is member of the European Union of the Music Competitions for Youth (EMCY) which highlights the high competence of the competition. The President of EMCY Frank Reich and the Secretary General of EMCY Dr. Eckart Rohlfs were also members of the jury.
In the finals of the 10th International Russian Rotary Music Competition in the Moscow State Conservatory P.I. Tchaikovsky the 6 best participants performed with orchestra conducted by the director of the Gnessin music school Mikhail Khokhlov. The Rakhmaninov Hall of the Moscow Conservatory was filled to the last place and the performance of the young musicians was greeted with large applause. The first price was awarded twice – to the pianists Arina Pan, Russia and Maria Matveeva, Russia ( 3.000 US$ each). Also the 3rd price was awarded to 2 young violinists Inga Rodina, Russia and Sara Dragan, Poland ( 1.000 US$ each). The 5th prize went to saxophonist Patricia Blome, Latvia, the 6th prize received Danila Vladyko, Russia playing violoncello.
Diplom from EMCY was awarded to Inga Rodina.
The Rotary music competition is covered by Russian and international mass media. The Russian television has reported in the series ,, Hope, Belief and Love,, about small girl from Siberia which was living with mother in railway stations in Moscow and playing violin in metro underground for living and was discovered by Rotary music competition, received from Rotary scholarship and room in Moscow flat and thanks to this help was able to attend the best music school in Russia.
The Russian laureates of the International Russian Rotary Music Competition are giving concerts in many European countries, either as soloist or with chamber and symphonic orchestras. The Advisory Board is interested to arrange with the help of local Rotary clubs or other interested organizations concerts in European countries. Many Rotary clubs in Germany, Austria and Italy has used such concerts for successful fundraisings for charity projects.

Beginnend mit dem Jahr 2002 findet in Moskau der alljährliche Internationale Rotary-Musikwettbewerb für Kinder ( International Russian Rotary Children Music Competition ) statt. Von Jahr zu Jahr ist der Musikwettbewerb bedeutender und heute wird er zu den wichtigsten Musikwettbewerbern in Europa in der Alterskategorie von 8 bis 12 Jahren gezählt. In den 10 Jahren des Rotary-Musikwettbewerbs haben mehr als 600 Kinder aus 34 Ländern der Welt teilgenommen, von Norwegen im Norden bis zu Südafrikanischen Republik im Süden, von China , Vietnam und Korea im Osten bis zu Kuba, Mexico und USA im Westen. Fast alle Kinder werden von Rotary Klubs nominiert. Als Instrumente sind zugelassen Klavier, Geige, Violoncello, Harfe und Blasinstrumente.
Mitglieder des Kuratoriums des Rotary-Musikwettbewerbs sind der russische Außenminister Sergey Lavrov, Nationalkünstler der Sowjetunion Vladimir Spivakov und Eduard Grach, Nationalkünstler Russlands Dmitry Baschkirov und Shaukat Amirov , Laureat des Tschaikovsky Klavierwettbewerbs von 1958 Daniel Pollack, Botschafter der Europäischen Union in Russland a.D. Dr. Ottokar Hahn und andere bedeutende Musiker, Politiker und Geschäftsleute.
Jury des Wettbewerbs leiteten in verschiedenen Jahren die Nationalkünstlerin der Sowjetunion Natalia Gutman, Nationalkünstler Russlands Pavel Kogan, Dmitry Bashkirov und Vladimir Ovchinnikov. Seit dem Jahr 2005 ist der Rotary-Musikwettbewerb Mitglied der Europäischen Union der Musikwettbewerbe für die Jugend (EMCY) , was seine fachliche Bedeutung unterstreicht. Der Generalsekretär von EMCY Dr. Eckart Rohlfs und der EMCY Präsident Frank Reich waren auch Mitglieder der Jury.
Beim Finale des Zehnten Jubiläumswettbewerbs im Moskauer Konservatorium P.I.Tchaikovsky war eine feierliche Atmosphäre zu spüren. Der Rachmaninow Saal des Konservatoriums was bis zum letzen Platz belegt. Viele Rotarische Freunde aus dem Ausland waren unter den Gästen und haben den Rotary-Musikwettbewerb auch finanziell unterstützt. Der Vorsitzende des Organisationskomitees Tiberius Braun und der Vorsitzende des Kuratoriums Josef Marous danken alle Sponsoren insbesondere Julius Bär Bank und KPMG sowie der Deutschen Bank Switzerland, TUI, Hella; Severstal, Wermuth Asset Management, Blackwood, Rödl & Partner, Swissotel Krasnye Holmy, Intercontinental Twerskaya, Radisson, The Ritz Carlton, Marriott , dem Rotary Distrikt 1810 und dem Vorsitzendem des Deutsch-Russischen ICC Herrn Dr. Uwe Kayser, dem Rotary Klub Paderborn Stadt + Land und dessen Mitglied Frau Dr. Zsuzsa Barna, dem Rotary Klub Moskau-Humboldt und dessen Präsidenten Mark Nessbach für finanzielle Unterstützung dieses bedeutendsten sozialen und kulturellen Rotarischen Projektes in Russland.
Über kein anderes Rotary Projekt wird mehr in der russischen Presse informiert. Sogar das russische Fernsehen hat in einer eigenen Sendung von musikalisch talentierten Kindern berichtet, die früher den Lebensunterhalt durch Musizieren in der U-Bahn und auf Bahnhöfen verdient haben und heute dank Stipendien des Rotary-Musikwettbewerbs bekannte Musikschulen in Moskau besuchen. Mehr als 50 talentierte russische Weisen oder Halbweisen haben Stipendien des Rotary Musikwettbewerbs erhalten. Viele Rotary Projekte in Russland, vor allem Unterstützung der Kinderheime, konnten durch Konzerte der Laureaten des Rotary Musikwettbewerbs finanziert werden.
Aus 56 Bewerbungen aus der ganzen Welt wurden die 15 besten jungen Musiker zum Halbfinale des 10. Rotary Musikwettbewerbs am 31. März 2012 nach Moskau eingeladen und die besten 6 Teilnehmer sind Tag danach im Finale in Begleitung eines Symphonischen Orchesters im Staatlichen Moskauer Konservatorium aufgetreten. Die Jury vergab zwei Erste Preise an die Pianistinen Arina Pan und Maria Matveeva aus Moskau und zwei Dritte Preise an die Geigerinen Sara Dragan aus Polen und Inga Rodina aus Moskau. Den fünften Preis gewann Saxophonistin Patricia Blome aus Lettland und der sechste Preis ging an den erst zehnjährigen Violoncellisten Danila Vladyko aus der Stadt Khimki bei Moskau.

Der nächste, bereits 11. Internationale Rotary-Musikwettbewerb findet im März 2013 in Moskau statt und die Organisatoren hoffen auf eine rege Beteiligung auch der ausländischen Rotary Klubs.
Die russischen Laureaten des Rotary-Musikwettbewerbs haben erfolgreich Konzerte in Italien ( mit Rotary Klubs in Bari, Ravenna und Martina Franca), Deutschland ( mit Rotary Klubs in Paderborn, Remscheid und Siegen), in Wien ( mit Rotary Klub Wien-Oper) in Frankreich und in Russland absolviert. Das Kuratorium ist an einer Zusammenarbeit mit europäischen Rotary Klubs interessiert, die Konzerte für die Rotary-Laureaten in Europa mit organisieren könnten.
